ASK “WHAT ARE YOU AFRAID OF?” not “WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?”

Fear and Pride both go before a fall, be understanding and patient enough to tell the difference. People rashly mistake FEAR 4 PRIDE. Someone who walks away or refuses to show up to have his work analysed or criticized would easily be mistaken for being proud. Many times too when you delay an apology, people conclude that you are proud, when in fact you’re scared of being rejected.

A lot more thought should go into our human relationships, people are not simple, babies are. Life makes us complex so be more curious about why people act the way they do. To lead, mentor, be a good parent, guardian or just friend, you should try to use the other perspective. Although some reactions are pretty obvious, even anger can be an expression of fear! relax…take it easy 🙂

Let’s chat…You, Me, And a Camera!

Our first interview is at 1:30pm with the top video entry, but let’s see.

NEVER SAY NEVER 😈

Alright, have a lovely day.

SAVE FOOD, SELL BRAINS!!!

One of the ways Nigeria can stay ahead or keep pace with Energy and I.T innovations around the world, is by maximising the time and potentials of our youths.

Our young ones and students are very innovative, industrious, quick to learn. They just need an opportunity, someone to believe in them and send them to a place where they can develop their skills and interests.

They can go from repairing TVs and computers and cars to building our own, they are all around computer village, selling bootleg softwares or downloads, stealing machine parts or selling just about anything on the streets.

This energy and passion can be channelled to mind-blowing Energy, I.T and other innovative projects. WE ARE WASTING THEIR YEARS. We encourage our own backwardness, youth frustration and eventually, crimes.

When will the first Nigerian or African car be built, or computers not just assembled here, but made here. Keep the African Child’s passion alive. SSCE, JAMB, Post UME, they’re just too much. Two JAMBs by one smart student can translate to 50 years of backwardness for the continent.

We never know, who that one giant is, so let’s rescue as many as we can. The school is not the place where you gain knowledge, there is currently knowledge everywhere. But the school helps you think critically and encourage never-before-seen modes of thinking and creativity. So we should also save the system from traditions and old methods or do or die answers to questions by old teachers and professors who fail to evolve with their profession. Or the ones who send students out of the class for asking too many challenging questions.

Questions lead to research and discovery, young minds are curious. This is our chance.

EXPORTS CAN EXCEED IMPORT, WE HAVE SO MUCH MORE WE SHOULD BE SELLING TO THE WORLD.

KEEP THE CONTINENT IN MIND. TIME IS PRECIOUS. HEAL THE EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM, HEAL THE ECONOMY!

Educational tourism in Africa: Be part of the video/essay competition

I just had a camera in my hand one afternoon and the first thing I started talking about was how to make things straight back home in the educational system, just one of the many sectors  that come to mind everyday. The thing is, the narrative always boils down to corruption. Everything is stained, affected, the future may have to suffer for it, and the hopeless chant is that it may get worse, but is this really the end?

I feel that until shameless corruption dies, and people start thinking of the future of Africa, or maybe just Nigeria for example, then we can’t have an educational system that attracts knowledge-thirsty students and researchers from all over the world, or that is even accessible to everyone in Africa who is interested in quality learning.
